Gulf Drilling Limited was granted its Large-Scale Exploration Licence (30333-HQ-LEL) on 7th March 2022, following an application submitted in October 2021. The licence area lies within the Eastern part of Zambia, known for its potential to host gold, copper, zinc, and molybdenum deposits. The project has focused on reviewing historical geological data and previous studies to understand the area’s mineral potential and plan future exploration work. Despite weather-related delays, the company has remained committed to maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements while preparing for upcoming exploration activities. Gulf Drilling Limited currently intends to convert its exploration licence into a mining licence and has initiated the application process.
